Ascenty’s 2025 ESG Report Highlights International Recognition in Sustainability and 100% Renewable Energy Use
Company wins global environmental impact award, maintains WUE Zero, GHG Protocol Gold Seal, and eighth consecutive year in NPS Excellence Zone
Ascenty, a joint venture between Digital Realty and Brookfield Infrastructure and the largest data center and connectivity services provider in Latin America, announces the release of its 2025 ESG Report. Key highlights for the period include receiving the Environmental Impact Award at the DCD Awards 2025, maintaining 100% renewable energy consumption and a Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) of zero across its operations, and remaining for the eighth consecutive year in the Net Promoter Score (NPS) Excellence Zone.
The company also retained the GHG Protocol Gold Seal, surpassed 30,000 employee training hours during the year, and won the Jatobá Communication Award with its Vozes Ascenty program.
These results reinforce the advancement of the company’s ESG strategy and its ongoing commitment to sustainability, operational efficiency, talent development, and corporate governance.
“Ascenty’s growth is directly connected to our commitment to efficiency, sustainability, innovation, and people development,” said Christopher Torto, CEO of Ascenty. “We continue to evolve our operations and strengthen environmental, social, and governance practices aligned with the demands of the new digital economy.”
Environmental factors
With the growth of artificial intelligence and high-density computing, energy efficiency and sustainability have become critical factors in data center operations. In 2025, in addition to maintaining 100% renewable electricity consumption, Ascenty offset 100% of Scope 1 and Scope 3 carbon emissions through carbon credits, while 100% of Scope 2 emissions were neutralized through the acquisition of I-RECs.
Another key metric in data center operations, WUE (Water Usage Effectiveness), remained at zero due to the use of closed-loop cooling systems.
Currently, the company’s largest data center, located in Vinhedo, has annual water consumption equivalent to that of nine four-person households, according to IBGE data. Water usage is limited to employee consumption, office cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
This focus on sustainability earned international recognition, culminating in the Environmental Impact Award at the DCD Awards 2025, reflecting the company’s environmental performance and its strategy of combining energy efficiency with high-performance digital infrastructure.
Ascenty also maintained the GHG Protocol Gold Seal, reinforcing its continuous progress in transparency and greenhouse gas emissions management.
Social factors
Throughout 2025, Ascenty expanded its investments in training, professional development, and strengthening its organizational culture. The company reached nearly 34,000 training hours, consolidating initiatives focused on continuous employee development.
The company also reinforced its commitment to social responsibility and human rights by incorporating social and ethical criteria into its sourcing, contracting, and monitoring processes across its value chain.
Another highlight was the Jatobá Communication Award win for the Vozes Ascenty program, recognizing the strategy and impact of the company’s communication initiatives.
Ascenty also continued its strategy of supporting regional economies by prioritizing local suppliers. In 2025, 99% of procurement spending in Brazil and 99.8% in Chile were allocated to local businesses.
Governance factors
In governance, Ascenty maintained a dedicated Compliance structure, including a Code of Conduct, anti-corruption policy, due diligence processes, regular training, and confidential reporting channels available to employees, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
The company also advanced its diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in 2025, strengthening representation within its governance structure and workforce. Currently, women represent 38% of governance body members—including President, Vice Presidents, Directors, and Executive Managers—and 31% of the total workforce.
Ascenty maintains permanent DE&I committees with open employee participation, covering topics such as gender, people with disabilities, ethnicity, cultural diversity, sexual orientation, and age diversity.
The company also continued investing in auditing, monitoring, and continuous improvement mechanisms to ensure transparency, security, and integrity in its operations.
Ascenty maintained a robust set of international certifications including ISO 14001, ISO 37301, ISO 37001, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 22301, ISO 50001, and ISO 20000, as well as Tier III Design, Tier III Facility, and TÜV TIA 942 Rated 3 certifications for data center infrastructure.
In addition, the company maintained its position in the NPS Excellence Zone for the eighth consecutive year, reinforcing its focus on customer experience and operational excellence.
“The 2025 ESG report demonstrates how sustainability, operational efficiency, and corporate responsibility are core elements of Ascenty’s strategy,” concluded Torto. “We remain committed to driving the growth of digital infrastructure in Latin America in a responsible and sustainable way.”
